SELECTED TRACKS 2. 1995-1998 (BLACK VINYL LTD.)

A double album with a new selection of tracks recorded by Esplendor Geométrico during the nineties that were released only in CD format and that are now finally here for the first time on vinyl!.

The double LP includes most of the tracks from the CD “POLYGLOPHONE” (released only on CD in 1987), “EN-CO-D-ESPLENDOR” (released in Japan only on CD in 1998), and rarities only released on limited CD-Rs during the nineties and without distribution.  Also included are three tracks from the “SYNCROTRON” EP (Hymen 1988). We find machine-like and hypnotic rhythms, metallic sounds, tribal sonorities, distortion, collages with vocals..., which also show their influence in the current trends of industrial techno.

“When I think of the word Industrial... I think machines , gears , factories with tall smoke stacks. Esplendor Geometrico means exactly that to me. Hard minimal rhythmic machine music that grinds like a huge device that is cutting metal girders for large buildings. Though most would quote bands like Throbbing Gristle ,Neubauten & Coil as being the truest form of industrial , the music of Esplendor by far best describes the word industrial when applied to music”. (Adam-X, 2004)

Superb gatefold cover design by Alonso Urbanos

ESPLENDOR GEOMETRICO

EL PULSO DEL ACERO: SHINKANSEN

El  Pulso del Acero: Shinkansen is Esplendor Geométrico's new album, featuring 16 powerful tracks that showcase the electric and industrial energy of this group with its unique and unmistakable style. The raw power of their early work is also present here in brilliant reconstructions of some of their 80s tracks (Rotorama, Trybuna V,…) now very different or even unrecognizable, as well as other tracks of futuristic and innovative industrial music closer to their previous album, Strepitus Rhythmicus. Ten tracks were recorded in 2025 in Tokyo, where Arturo Lanz (founding member of E.G.) currently resides, and the other six were released only on CD in an ultra-limited edition (long sold out) shared with the group De Fabriek in 2023, now finally available on vinyl.

Recorded in Tokyo, Madrid, and Rome in 2023 and 2025. Master: Luca Spagnoletti. Graphic Design: Alonso Urbanos.

Born in 1980 as a trio, and currently a duo formed by Arturo Lanz (founding member) and Saverio Evangelista (member since 1991), Esplendor Geométrico is an influential and international electronic cult band and also a rare case in the Spanish music scene, as they have developed their own independent path aside from tags, fashion or trends, in spite of being often classified as industrial music. Their career for more than four decades hasn’t had interruptions. They haven’t stopped composing, releasing albums or playing live.Their influence has marked many later artists, usually classified in the so-called  industrial music or rhythm & noise, as well as artists from current techno and certain types of experimental noise music.
